To equip, encourage, and strengthen pastors’ wives in the areas of service toward their husbands, children and the congregation they are called to lead as first ladies, be-it from the pulpit or behind the scenes. Helping each other build a well-balanced life within and without the four walls of a church.
-To draw our attention off the glamour that comes with being a first lady, and reintroduce our focus to the importance of being a prayerful, watchful, wise, and well-balanced back bones to our husbands, our children and the church, both in private and in public.
-To remind pastors’ wives of the importance of focusing on our most important assignments which are; watching and praying, and ministering to our husbands, our children, our loved ones, and then the church. The importance of focusing on building our marriages on God’s word, and trusting and yielding to the Holy Spirit to help our marriages shine as examples.
– To enact in counseling, helping one another to find solution to their problems, using the word of God.
-To accomplish our vision through conferences and seminars and outreach events.
Remember that, inasmuch as you are on a pedal stool, there are many others that realize that you, as a pastor’s wife, are human, and we are not unaware of the fact that pastoral families are most often the targets of scrutiny and high expectations. Your problems are not unique to you alone. There are many out there that would love to connect with you, to learn, grow and become better with dealing with the unspoken struggles that seem to plague them. Come, join the Pastor’s Wives Arise network International, and let’s Arise and shine together, for our light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon us.
